Leyton Orient Sign Record-Breaking Transfer

Leyton Orient have made a major statement in the transfer market by signing Jaze Kabia in a record transfer fee. The 24-year-old forward joins the club from Grimsby Town on a three-year deal, making him the most expensive signing in the club's history.

Kabia joins the club on the back of a superb finish to last season with Grimsby, where he scored 24 goals in 57 appearances for the League Two side in 2025/26. He also scored in the penalty shoot-out last season as Grimsby shocked Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

"I’m absolutely buzzing," Kabia told the Leyton Orient official website. "I have had an amazing last two years where I have grown a lot and I’m hoping to bring all of that here to show the best version of me."

Kabia joins a large Irish contingent at the club, with goalkeeper Killian Cahill, midfielder Ollie O’Neill, and attacker Aaron Connolly already part of Richie Wellens’ first-team squad.
